the 3-pin switch (or 2-pin or 4-pin) is readily available! just find a 'junk' motherboard or sound, video or other port card with jumpers! desolder the pins and use the jumpers as a switch! they cost...

as far as RS employees selling ZZs on ebay, i believe that the company has a policy against this, but you should...

yes, yes you can!

if your camera has a serial port (RS232), but you don't have a free serial port, you can use a USB->RS232 converter (about US$19)... this is what i use w/my HP200 digital camera...

you can put together the same kit for about $4 (or less), but if you don't like soldering and don't want the hassle, then i guess it's OK...

i'd like to see a good source for LiIon battery holders...
