I get poor range too. I heard there is a crip cap in the controller...one of the threads actually has a picture of its location...try both mods...they're both really easy. I'm just too lazy! :D

Is it just me or is the FairLady really slow out...

Is it just me or is the FairLady really slow out of the box? Regardless of which rotor/gears I drop in, its like half the speed of my slowest car...when its unboosted.

I guess I just figured it...

I bought (2) 3.4s from DKS and they are everything he/she says they are. They are very reliable rotors and are also comparable to the 3.8 I just tested out....albeit, I don't run any of my cars with...

I was thinking that the 4-5 cell mod would drain my rechargable AA batteries (which are NiCd)...

Battery is discharged....

After 3-4 minutes? I've read many reviews that state these cars should last atleast 8-9 minutes with 1 clean charge. Well, there I go believing every thing I read again! :D
