What the heck is a Bit Racer?

I see everybody talking about Bit Racer parts on here, what are they? Bigger Bit Char-Gs or something?

A Bit Racer is basically a Bit Char-G, with no steering capabilities. It's meant to run on a special track only.

The Hot Wheels K.I.T. Racers is the US licensed version of the Bit Racer, you can find them at Toys-R-Us and Target and other stores.

Imagine a car at the size of a Bit Char-G but without steering control and that are not r/c.
Thats a Bit Racer.

They run in tracks like the Hot Wheels and instead of an eject spring mechanism to make them run, they use motors and gears like the Bits.

The only compatible things between them are the motors and the heatsinks. The axels are also combatible but with a slightly modification.

So they are like ChoroQs but they have real engines, and aren't pull-back?

They are not like ChoroQs and neither are pull back.

And yes the battery is common, I always miss that.

Old skoolers would call them "slot cars".

Tamiya made a pretty decent version of these in the mid 90's. They were those Super FM chasis cars. Really fast. Had a few myself. I think they were the size of those EPOCH cars they have now a days.

They have slot roller bars on the sides that control the direction. No remote...you just turn them on and drop them in the track.
