Got this one from an anime mag. Its the 'Mobile' Acura NSX. I know its not the standard packaging but all of the Japanese Kanji is the same on it...if it is a knock off it doesn't matter to me...it smokes every other car I have. Here's the packaging it came in...

Bitmod1 motors

Has anyone taken a look at the new Bitmod1 custom-designed motors? Supposedly they have more torque than the others and a 3.5 Bitmod1 motor can trash a regular 3.8 motor!

"I was amazed with the speed of the motor, along with the handing. I could run the motor full blast and still make turns. My wife and I raced side by side, my car with the 3.5 motor and hers with the 3.8 motor, and I was amazed to find that the 3.5 blew the 3.8 out of the water. On a straight away of about 15 feet, the 3.5 beat the 3.8 by at least 5 feet. I was very impressed with this motor. After this test I tested the 3.2 motor against 3.0 and was again amazed to find that the BITMOD1 motor out performed the 3.0 by at least 5 feet again. The only drawback that I found was that I couldn't fit either motor into my microsizer"

I see 3.2 and 3.8 on their site also. This looks really promising. Only downside is they're a little too big to fit a microsizer (so they say). I'm wondering if they're about the size of a ZZ motor then? Someone tried these yet?

Here's the site:

You can't handle the truth....

I don't know what you are looking to do exactly,

But here in Arizona some friends and I have been experimenting with 'Top Fuel Drag Bits'.

If you check smoovy.com you can track down 5mm + 8mm motors that will do up to 100,000 rpm with torque that is comparable to the 2.6 motors. We have been working out a chassis/body design based on 1/64 scale.

The logistics of fitting 4 NiMH cells + pcb into these things is kind of a nightmare, and the cost is prohibitive, we are talking $235us for a single motor.

So it's basically a 10.0 motor? But with 4 cells, even a 2.2 or 2.6 might be that fast, and the bitmod1 motors might have enough torque to equal this one. It'd be fun to experiment, but dang.. $235 is a lot for a tiny motor. While you're at it, why not get the one with the backshaft and make a 4wd bit like the mini-x design, lol.

BTW do you know what size the Bit motor is? 3mm, 5mm, or 8mm? It looks like 3mm to me but I suck at mental metric.

hey ricer it looks like you have a clone becuase the PCB cap of every other real bit doesn't look like that and bit char-gs dont come in 49 mhz only microsizers do (bit char-gs come in 27,35,45,57)

and i haven't seen those bodys on the packaging ever and the mobil honda nsx-r only comes as a body set not the whole thing i believe

So what do you think, drift king? is your new DKS 3.4 better than the OEM 3.8 - in accel, torque, top speed?

Well, I'm not DriftKing...but, I just had a 3.8 go out on me. I bought (2) 3.8s recently. One for myself and one for a friend as a Christmas present. Mine worked for 1 full charge. Second charge...well, the second charge is a different story. I can't even get it to rotate without an axle installed.

I bought mine from tinyrc.com. Tinyrc.com is really good about swaping out defective items for new ones, so no worries there.

When the 3.8 ran the first time-

It was slightly faster on the top-end than the DKS 3.4 but, it had less torque. It crawls the first few feet. Proper gearing is a must! seemed to be ok, but I wouldn't tweak much beyond that.
