because if u are then the answer is no... the voltage is controlled before i gets to ur motor... or maybe even on the motor im not sure...

i switched from a 3v lithium battery to 2 AAA i dont have my extra cells anymore but i think i can live with out them lol its much brighter now and i could probably power more without the lights...
