Noobie MicroSizer owner - Hello all!!
I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Robert AKA DarthRacer and I became the proud owner of a Microsizer today.
I have a white Nissan Skyline 49MHZ.
I already picked up a 2.6 motor for it.
Plans for modifications have started already, beginning with the car's antenna and the transmitter cap.
I just ordered a NiMh cell from QFM because I have seen others recommend them.
Other R/Cs I own are a Traxxas T-Maxx and Nitro sport, and an HPI MicroRS4.
See (or read) you later!

I don't know. I have a local shop called "The Battery", but I'm too lazy to check it out.
I ordered my bat from QFM and payed with PayPal. $3 for the batt and $2 shipping.
I originally went into my LHS looking for a red Mitsubishi Lancer, but all they had was icky yellow. The Nissan was my second choice.

oh really? i actually put the frequency before the color. I wanted a 49mhz car, since i heard there are some problems with 27mhz cars, so i just wanted to be sure.
The 49 mhz cars they had were white nissan skyline, yellow honda s2000, yellow mitsubishi lancer, and yellow mazda rx7. The skyline is the car i love the most.
i've also had some range problems so im thinking of opening this remote up to look for a cripple capacitor.

The Microsizers are exact copies of the Tomy versions (look at the copyright dates stamped in the chassis and transmitter) so finding the cripple cap should be easy.
I'm looking for some 1/64 decals too.
Headlight mods look nice also.

so is your reason for getting a microsizer similar to mine? "I got a microsizer so that i have something to do in the cold winter while my nitro Rs4 is in storage and to have some fun in the micro world" So how's a guy with a t-maxx supposed to get an excuse for the winter? Oh btw some of the microsizers don't have crip caps in them so don't be totally suprised if you don't find one.

I bought a MicroSizer for the coolness factor and the ability to setup a small indoor track to race on.
As far as the T-Maxx is concerned, I'm actually taking it out tomorrow, and the weather forecast calls for snow!

Microsizers and Bit Char-G are exactly the same.
Microsizers is the American name (lets say )

Hey I'm going to be a proud owner soon too! HLJ was backordered on my poor Mach 5, so I cancelled and went with ToyEast since so many people here gave good recommendations. I want to get my pal into it too so I bought an Initial D-Project D set for him and a 3.0 for him too so he won't whine about the speed of his 1.0. Hey, who knows, with the gear set I ordered and my 2.2 motor I might be able to take him in the turns! We'll see if it arrives in a week, if it does that would be great, I'll start looking into LEDs for the Mach asap!

My LHS just ordered up a few sets of gears so I can try them out. I'd like to use my 2.6 with the low blue gears to try some power sliding.
I'm also on the hunt for some small white LED's for headlights.

i dont think you would be drifting (power sliding) with the blue 12:1 because they focus more on accel than topspeed. this should be right but if not some tell me

The crip cap may not be in the transmitter. There seems to be a third version of the crip cap that is installed on the PC board in the car itself.
Check out this tip on QFM - http://tinyrc.com/qfm/racing/mod_08.htm It is at the bottom of the page.

ya i was afraid of that. Opening up and working on the oncar PCB is going to be a lot harder than working on the remote PCB...
