Exclamation 30 possible frequencies that are legal!

here you go http://wireless.fcc.gov/prs/radcntrl.html. read my quote from fcc Which R/C channels may I use?

"R/C Rule 7 lists 50 channels in the 72-73 MHz VHF range that may only be used to operate model aircraft devices and 30 channels in the 75.4-76.0 MHz VHF range that may only be used to operate model surface craft devices. You must stop such transmissions, however, if they interfere with authorized radio operations in those VHF ranges or with broadcast TV reception on channels 4 or 5. R/C Rule 7 also lists HF channels at 26.995, 27.045, 27.095, 27.145, 27.195, and 27.244 MHz that may be used to operate any kind of device including model aircraft and surface craft devices. R/C channels are not afforded any protection from interference due to the operation of fixed and mobile stations in other services assigned to the same or adjacent frequencies.

What is a "model"?

A model aircraft device is any small imitation of an aircraft. A model surface craft device is any small imitation of a boat, car or vehicle for carrying people or objects, except aircraft. "

now if only hobbico or tomy took advantage of all these frequencies. I need to reaseach this more but i got to go. so i will get back on this later.

what I am saying in the future, Radioshack might take advantage of these frequencies in the zip zaps instead of just using two. I do not know if Tomy will take advantage of this because they do not even market in USA. but Tomy might do this because having a ton of frequencies would be great for races. And also it might be hard to make recievers for these frequencies that is small enough to fit in a bit charg.

But hey I am not really sure if this will work.

I am taking Radio Communications in Industrial Technology, and I will ask my teacher if i can buy a compatable reciever that is small enough to put in my bit. Then there is changing the frequency in the controler which should be a little easyer, because of the size. Also There is a other way to change the frequency in the controler. I could buy a mini-z controler made by Kyosho which is easy to change the frequencies and make a mod to take advantage of new frequencies

I am sorry if i do not make sense, I am horrible at explaining. But basicly what i said is, it probly is possible to change the frequency in a bitcharg and the controler, and still have 30 total frequencies that are legal in america.

I just want people to know what I am investigating currently, hopfully this will work.
