strider you seem to have done quite a few wheel mods with the dubs
can you show me how I tried them on a bit but the axil is to big for the hole
is it easier to do on zips because I have one of those too

I use a 3/64 carbide drill bit.
The trick is to "spin" the wheels on the drill bit. Don't even think of using a drill, because it will just blow through anywhere, as opposed to when you use the drill bit as kind of an axle.
When I say spin, I really mean turning the wheel as it sits on the drill bit held straight up. Don't press on the wheel while you are doing this, because the light cutting of the drill bit while the wheel turns is what is going to make the hole "true".
Of course if you are merely building a show car, it's less important, but I insist on all my mods being working ones.
I might have an archive pic, hold on a sec...

DUB cars
Here are some of my DUB cars:
I'm proud to say, this bB is the BitPimp's "Ride of Da Week"! Thanks Pimps!
The R32 was the very first and the Celica was the latest.
BTW, I got second place (a tie really) in RCMod's 1st Annual contest with the Celica!
I did basically the same thing as Strider did with the drill bit. Then I used super glue gel to permanently fix the rear wheels to the rear axel. Make sure to make the holes for the front wheels just big enough so that the wheel spins freely, but not big enough that the wheel is wobbly.

Re: DUB cars
Whoa!
I'll never be able to mod bodies like that! And the wheels on that Celica are KILLER! Where did they come from?
Extremely nice work!

You know that's exactly what I thought myself. But I found that it's not that difficult. There are a bunch of good tutorials out there. Everything from batteries to performance mods to show car paint how-to's to body kits to wheel mods... well you get the idea.
There's plenty of good stuff here at TinyRC, BitPimps and RCMod.
Visit thier mod sections or do a search.
I came up with a few things myself but, the majority I learned from other Bitheads out there. I'm constantly amazed by their work! Crazy Dave and Dark Tari come to mind.

Thanks! Boris is correct. They came from a DUB City "Street Low" Caddy.
Here's the gold version:

Oh yes, quite sure.
Feel free to search here for all the wheel mods I've posted over the past year.
Also feel free to browse my Yahoo Photo Page for ideas if you like.
I use a carbide bit designed for drilling printed circuit boards, but any in that size will do.
If the hole is a little tight, I use the bit like a file to open the hole slightly.
The key is, and this is important, to work slowly so you don't overwiden the hole. Check as you go.
I also like to use a gel-type super glue.

I did my wheel mod today
and it worked out ok
the smallest drill bit I could find is a # 6
it is smaller then a 1/16
and I saw your 3/64 I think it was bigger then the 1/16
well the front wheels I'm pretty happy with but the back axel doesnt go perfectly smooth I am going to have to re-do it
other then that it looks pretty cool

Getting wheels "true" is the hardest part of any working wheel mod.
That and rear wheel spacing.
It's just a matter of practice.
I have to hit the stores for some dubs.
Hopefully they'll be a pre christmas surge in clone availability and lower prices this year.
