mini-x mfr?

I am looking at mini-x scale. And I am a newbe with a few questions. Do I understand right that mini-x is 1/24th scale? Who mfrs. mini-x? Are they advertized as min-x or by name?

:) Are you making sure that the motor is seated completey? I have had similiar problems, and learned that iof the motor isn't completely seated it will work then quit, then work then quit....
