ATiger, Sherman, Sound tower, and two sound cards are for sale on Ebay.
Right now the price is reasonable. Still two days to go, though.

Now it's my turn to ask.

Anyone know where I can get a sound tower card for the

It looks like these are no longer sold or manufactured.

Please help.

Did you find a translation of the instructions?

Digi Q tech

Thanks for posting that link. I checked out the German Bit website. A lot of interesting technical information. I have to use BabelFish to translate, as I speak no German.

When I get a chance,...

Sorry for any confusion

Good thing you had someone to help you out.

Something to consider:
Not all 555 IC's are the same. Different manufacturers chips can behave somewhat differently.

The chip I used did not...

Aarghh!

Sorry. Don't know how that happened, but, the schematic is wrong. The IR LED low side should be connected to pin 2 of the 555, not pin 4.

I'll post a new schematic.

How do I get the old one...

IR protocol for Combat Digi Q

Just now getting started at decoding the Combat Digi Q infrared codes.

First of all, it's a modulated 40 kHz signal. The data stream looks to be 18 bits. This is quite different from the 12 bit...

Use a low power CMOS 555

Glad you are going to try it out. Be sure to use a low power CMOS 555. The ones I use are designated 7555. I don't think the 5 volt supply of the tank will like a standard 555, too much current draw.

Muzzle flash

Just haven't had time to make a schematic.

If you hook directly to the IR LED on the tank, you could have some problems. I use the IR LED to trigger a cmos 555 timer. The length of the flash is...

Muzzle flash

It will take a while before I have time to make a diagram.
If you know something about electronics, you could look at a 555 data sheet.

Set up the 555 as a one-shot. Be sure to use a low power...
