Hey I was just wondering if anyone has switched out a micro sizer or bit antenna with a telescope antenna. If so can you tell me how or post some pics.
You can get a telescopic antenna at radioshack. Make sure it is the kind with a thin rectangular shaped base with 2 holes. First, open up your controller and unscrew the pcb board so you have the front cover by itself. Put it face down. Using a dremel or xacto knife cut a little notch slightly to the left of the top right corner. You want this notch as wide as the telescopic antenna base (the base will be going vertically.) Cut the top of the screw hole right near that corner to the level the notch is. The notch should be as deep as the little border and you don't want it much wider than the base or else the antenna will wiggle around a lot. Screw the pcb board board back on making sure the buttons are in place. Take the back of the controller and put it battery holder down. You see the little circle thingy with a screw holding it in in the top left corner? Take that screw out and put it in the screw hole of the antenna that is closer to the bending part. Screw it back into the hole. Get a wire and solder it to the base of then antenna and to the metal plate where the blue wire is. Put the controller back together and your done!
