Has anyone made a front wheel drive car, if so does it work good and are there any differences with steering, etc.
Thx

I've read a few people doing something like this. They just flip the chassis on the body and switch a few wires.

I think the DigiQ's and Iracers would have amazing control if only they did this.

with the steering system they have now i think that it would be inpossibe because the magnetic interferance (sp?) would throw off the steering, it could be done maybe on a larger scale but this small i dont think that it would be worth the time.

Well, in theory, that would work, but there would probably be interference in the motors' speed and torque from the magnets (kind of like how a staple screws up your steering). Also, there is no way you could make the motors run at the same speed, even if they were the same motor, all motors are slighty different in speed and torque. That is why Nikko iRacers never run straight, each motor is slightly different. I say give it a try, but keep these things in mind.

You would also have to the front end substantially bigger to fit in two motors and four steering coils. And what about keeping the car straight? There is no trim "stick", so the wheels would always point one way or the other. This project is probably more trouble than it is worth.
