sounds like a great idea, but there is a lot of physics that go into a helicopter and I think it will be pretty hard to make from scratch...plus I think you'll have a hard time finding a small motor that is powerful enought o lift the whole assembly...

I believe turning on a helicopter is done with thel stabilizing propeller on the tail of the helicopter...good luck!

well u could probaly use one motor to spin the blade(3.8)...then 2 more motors one to move the helicopter blade from side to side and another to make it go forward by making the blade lean forward or backwards(1.0s)...the u might need another motor at the back with a smaller propeller...each time u turn the motor wopuld spin the other way(2.6)...4 motors 2 pbc boards a good chassi and body a modified controller and u got urself a helicopter..to many motors tho..might need alot of batterys too..preety possible tho

heres my proto type drawing. 3.8 for the top blade turbo motor for the side blade.the pcb is behind the chasis and batterie. but i think ill use 2 150mah batteries insted of one stock

Talking sweeeeet

ive been wondering when someone would bring a nit-helicopter to reality ! I
m pretty sure ure goint o need more than one 3.8 motor on the top, maybe you should thnk of a way to integrate 2 props on the top of its chasis, u should also use layman;s batteryss(for good weight distribution) the only problem is u would have to make battery holders for them and not solder them, and make a chrger.
seems like this could work ! im intrested in seeing the body of the a helicopter anyone is using!

Ok, a helicopter would be interesting, but very hard. At the least you will need a full r/c system with micro components. To see what this guy did, go here. Pixel Helicopter

ok now im thinkin to try and get it in the air id put a 3.8 in the front then a 3.8 at the end of the chasis then another 3.8 at the end of the tail and either 2 150mah batts or 3 210mah batts
heres a pic of it

it wont work if u have only 2 motors and one pcb because the blades have to be able to change their angles, although u could refrain from that problem by making the motor spin faster and slower. It wont turn if u have 2 motors either itlls just be able to lift up. i think this project is too hard and i also dont think a 3.8 will be able to lift up so many motors and batterys.

You would defentialy need the back prop to counteract the torq.
