New Toyota Voltz not sold by Tomy!
i check out the official tomy website and on the very bottom is this toyota voltz. i translated with babelfish and it says
"* With Tommy we do not sell." does that mean that Tomy will not sell these bodies? they look like the new Matrix/Vibe

I wouldn't make any decisions based on translated words from Babelfish.
1. The picture was shown on Tomy's official website
2. That picture sure looks like a Bit to me, with the wheels and antenna hanging out
I'd tend to believe Tomy will be releasing it.

What I am getting out of these two posts are two possibilities:
1st: Tomy is not selling them. Tomy is just showing an example of a fake one.
2nd: Tomy is selling one. Tomy is showing an picture of a kit with a new, different body.
My opinion: I think that is car looks exactly like the Pontiac Vibe. I doubt Tomy, being a Japanese Model Company, is going to produce an American car... Especially something like this "Vibe." If it was going to produce American cars, they would probably go for the American Muscle Machines first (Viper, Mustang, Saleen, etc.). So therefore, my hypothesis is that Tomy is just showing a fake Bit Char-g and telling people in Japanese that they don't sell such things.
To Namuna: Why do you think that they will release it? The salient points are stated clear enough compared to the whole sentence itself: "...we do not sell." If you were Tomy and is about to release a new product, I certainly doubt you will state a sentence with "...we do not sell."

actually the Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe is a joint venture. with engine made by Yamaha. the only difference is tha the Vibe doesn't get the 180bhp engine with 6 speed manual tranny.
this car is made by Toyota cuz its on their website. http://www.netztoyota.com/
I'm guessing that its just a prototype or some sort or its gonna be given out by Toyota and not sold by Tomy. Tomy just made them for Toyota. Hence its not for sell from Tomy
its kinda like the Disney bus. sold by only Disney Japan. not by Tomy. but made by Tomy

323iT is correct about the Matrix/Vibe thing in the U.S., but the Vibe GT does come with the 180hp engine and 6pd. too. In Japan, Toyota actually uses the Pontiac Vibe body and sells it as the Toyota Voltz. Since Tomy is a Japanese company, they actually can make and sell this body, but it will be called the Toyota Voltz. I prefer the Matrix body look over the Vibe look, but I wouldn't mind having it. I posted about this in an Ausmicro.com forum.

the folks over at " Bit Char-G-UK have the lowdown on this...
"To coincide with the launch of the new Toyota Voltz car in Japan, TOMY has designed a new Bit Char-G. The Voltz looks pretty cool and well worth adding to your collection. Unfortunately, they are limited to only 500 units and they're not going to be sold in stores. As far as I can work out, they're only available through the Japanese Voltz store"

Yeah... that's what I gathered from going through their site. It looks to me like you need to register with them using a Japanese address (no foreign addresses are eligible) and play their slot machine game. You have five chances to win. I'm hoping to have some exact translations tonight for how it works exactly.
Maybe we'll see these in the aftermarket once the contest ends.
