New Tires!!
I just got my shipment of 1/87 scale big ol' tractor tires.
The package comes with 16 total tires. Eight 16mm tires and Eight 20mm tires.
I am thinking of doing a monster type truck...........

Very cool
I ordered the off-road truck tires and wheels from Herpa and I got like 25 tires and a bunch of double-tire hubs
when you get these peices separately like that they sure hook you up with a lot of extras...

overlander- looks like you'll be coming up with some intersting projects with those wheels . you could make something like the Monster Man on the german website.
akura- could you post a picture, and how much was the tire set? i bought a Tank transporter "Elefant" with armoured cab for it's 16 wheels and offroad tires.
i bought a few roco's from a hs in pa, Rosemont Hobby Shop . they have good prices and only charged me $0.10 over actual shipping (priority), not a bad deal. their website is very basic. look in the armor section. no pictures either, so you have to know what your looking for. real nice people. you call to place order over the phone w/ cc and further orders can be by email. i placed my order, next day it shipped, 3-4 days later it arrived.

Overlander:
I have to chime in...even though i am not a TTTT builder. If you got tires like that either build like a cool miner dump truck, or you have to build a 4wd monster truck. 2wd monster truck is like an armless woman, cool maybe but definately not as useful.
I mean i understand your guy's work is extremely hard, and getting a front steering axle that is drive is hard...but i have seen your work Overlander...you can do it.
Also this is the reason i would never buy the Mini-Z Overlander...4wd is a must on rally vehicles and monster trucks.

Armless woman
Thanks terror, I actually already have the front axle for 1/87 4wd.
I own 2 Overlands and you would be surprised at how well they perform with the rear axle locked.
I am a Rubicon Jeeper and I have seen 2wd trucks go through with only one locked axle. This is usually how a 4x4 rig gets through after breaking an axle (which changes your whole outlook on the weekend).
True, an armless woman is not as cool, but may be more useful than you think in the right hands
