K.I.T. gears = stupid
I installed some K.I.T. Racer gears and they are soooo slow. I put in the green ones, and it takes forever to accelerate. Even giving it a hard push start it's still slow. The 9.86:1 gears are a lot faster than it. Don't know why. I thought a dual cell would be able to accelerate faster with these gears, but I guess not.

odd... my clone can push the green gears FAST>.. it gets top speed in about 3 feet... which is unbelievably fast... are you sure the gears are meshing properly, and not rubbing the chassis? try turning the axle with your hand, see if any resistance is there...
also, remember to use a very high torque motor, and the 7 tooth gear....
the blue gears should be twice as fast as the orange gears, green even faster..... !
i know my stock bit with a KIT 2.6 WILL turn the blue gears, but wont be fast at all..

i';d think so.. with dual cell, not sure aobut the torque increase, but i thouht the 3.8 wasnt too big on it in the first place..

Yeah a 3.8 is like the spoon civic engine of the Bit world. What you need for that gearing is a nice torquey 2.2 or 2.6 or something more along the lines of turbodiesel.
