Anyone know much about the Type 74 and 90??

I have two questions really.
1. Does anyone know if the these will have the controllable turrets? I'm guessing not, but maybe I'm wrong.
2. Does anyone know if they made extra ID's so there could be a 6 tank battle, or will these be sharing the originol 4 IDs?

I guess I could wait until they come out to find out, but I'm impatient. Thanks, Jay

short answer to both is NO.

Konami havent released any info with regards to turret control for the Jap tanks. and since releasing info about tanks 5 and 6 (5months+ ago) there has been no mention of additional ID's

it would require a new controller as the current ones only have 4 ID's to select.

Hard to speculate really.. the 74 and 90 are being released at the same time as the new turret controllable tanks. it would make sense to have all 6 tanks spec'd this way and consider the older 4 without controls obsolete and phase them out.

On that same note it would make sense to add 2 IDs while they're at it. I was thinking of something along the lines of the new tanks having ID's 5, 6, 7, 8. There would be room for two more tanks later. The newer tanks wouldn't ever need to be 1 through 4. As far as I can tell with mine, the only purpose of the IDs is so signals don't get crossed, and assigning teams. Maybe they couldn't get new IDs to work with the current team assignments.
