 Thanks!
Three things:
- masking tape
- X-Acto knife
- a design
Well, I guess it helps to have a decent airbrush too....

I'm not sure what "them" refers to....
If you meant the body.... Well, it's a N Racer body on a N Racer chassis, not a Bit chassis. So no modding needed!
If you meant the flames.... see above!

DriveWRX; Excellent job! If there one thing I love, it's a Classic Flame Paint job. Did you cut the mask free-hand or did you use some kind of a template?
Again really nice job!

 Thanks!
Yeah, I've always like Flames on a car. I was inspired by the real deal at Chicago's World of Wheels a couple weeks back. There were tons of Flame Paint jobs to drool over!
To answer your question: I cut it freehand.
Draw your design directly on the tape and follow with the X-acto. * NOTE*: Your X-acto blade has to really sharp to get crips edges.
*EDIT*: I forgot to mention... DO NOT cut out the design while the tape is on the car! You'll damage the body! Cut on a piece of glass.
