My ZZ has crap range

I gota black civic today. It has crap range. Are there any cripplers on it? The range is only 6 feet, and the antenna is securely attached.

If it is 27 Mhz you will want to do an antenna mod. Radio shack has longer antennas for cordless phone that you can buy. It isn't a very hard mod & it will help with your range. I doubled mine after doing it. You can also get Cad 5 wire & replace the antenna on your car. I did this with a 57 mhz lxx the other day & got great results.

Do you happen to have the part number for that antennae at radio shack??? and how much did it cost you???

I am sorry I don't have the number I think it was this one but i am not positive. I took my antenna out of my controller & brought it with me, made sure it was about the same width & was at least twice as long. I had to cut the circle at the bottom of the antenna alittle with my dremel so it would fit in where my original did & BLAM!!! better reception.

Are there any cripple caps on the controller or car? I have a LOT of cat 5 antenna. Black too. It's weird having 6 feet of range when my MS has about 50.

I used 270-1405A. Trimmed a little plastic and it was fine. $3.90.
