Compare these to Bits

I have used and modded Bit Char-g, Microsizers, Zip Zaps, and clones for a while now.

There are not too many threads in this forum that answer the newbie questions that I have about the Q's.

How do they handle? I used an I-Racer and hated it. The steering is not responsive. On my bits, the steering is very responsive. I understand there will be a small delay with the IR, but the I-Racer is near impossible to control (and have any fun doing it). When I push the I-Racer flat out, then try to turn, it just spins out. (even on the wide turn setting) I am planning on getting one of the less expensive cars (audi or something) and the Propo special LCD controller.

Please help me not waste my time.

The DigiQ is not a Bit, the Bit is not a DigiQ...This is the first thing you MUST come to accept first and foremost.

When you come over to the IR, rear wheel steering/acceleration world...There is ADJUSTMENT to how to drive as well.

How hard did you turn in that all out circumstance? These little cars are PROPO, that means you can go EASY on the steering (which you MUST do in an all out sprint).

It sounds like your biggest concern is how it handles...In that case, I suggest you either check out the Yokomo Puchi Maru (has true propo) or go up a scale to the Epoch Spec-2 cars

With the IRacer, it seems as if you don't get much response, and then all of the sudden, you get too much response (turning). Is the Digi-Q smoother? Is it easy to control? I love PROPO, but if it's way too much work, then I may just get the Epoch. What scale is the Yokomo Puchi Maru? Is it pretty quick?

The DigiQ's are better in everyway compared to the IRacer, but however still require major amounts of patience and control to master. I think if you hate the Iracer, the DigiQ is really not for you.

You might try an Epoch (~4" length) with excellent speed and still some room for mods.

The Puchi Maru is expensive and nearly un-upgradeable. It is small though. I hear it is just a tiny bit faster than a bit.

For some info and pics on the Puchi Maru...You'll notice it's VERY close in scale to the Bit/DigiQ
