5 feet away

My range really sucks. (i think...) I can get up to 5 ft range with my stock antenna fully streached out. I looked for the cripple capacitor on both sides in the controller but i found nothing. Also, just wondering, when you cut the capacitor out, do you have to resolder the ends?

The mods I'm planning to make are:
telescopic antenna
new antenna on the bit
full size wheel set
led lights (cant decide, either head lights or underglows)
and custom tires (I cant find the right pen grip that is sutible for cutting)

One last last thing, when I got my bit, I wasnt used to driving it and accidently drove it off the table several times. The steering goes right if i leave it as it is. I noticed the switch thing on the bottom of the bit so I thought that it might have an effect on the steering. I moved it all the way to the right and It runs well now. Is that what its for? to realline your steering if it's messed? do you know how to return it back to normal? it turns very slightly while driving. not so much that you would really notice. can anyone answer any one of my questions? thanks.

dman your range really sucks. Try messing with the antenna. Look under the circuit board and untie the knot in the antenna and instead of putting the antenna around the front of the cicuit board pull it through the back near the rear wheels. My car now goes with a 7 feet range with the controller antenna stuck all the way in and 34-35 feet with it all the way out

I pulled the antenna through the normal hole in the back window. Am I supposed to make a new hole? a number of people made a new hole...

i didnt make a new hole just instead of pull it back under the circuit board not back over it since the antenna is actually solder into the back of teh circuit board

no, i know what you mean by untangling the wire, i got it untangled and it is about 5 inches, but if i do find the capacitor, when you cut the cripple capacitor out, are you supposed to solder the ends of those two wires back together?
