When Engines go bad!!
hey ive been out of the bit char g thing and i want to get back since a couple of my friends started it again. ive been into more nitro cars. [real fun! but takes lots of maintenence. are any of you into it?] yea well i tried mine and the 3.8 engine i had in there is crap! its going so slow. i kinda think its my rear exel though.. im not sure any ideas? but if its not im willing to trade a 2.8b and 2.2b engine for a 3.8 thats still good!

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wd40! It accumulates dirt and particles! Use graphite lube. Or baby powder.

It works as long as you use very carefully and also wipe off all excess!

That's just how it is
I had a 3.8 and after 5 times running it, it runs like a 1.0! I've tried a number of solutions, but still no improvement. I figured that all motors gradually burn out after a number of runs. The faster motors(3.0&up) burn out sooner than the slower ones. I'd like to know if anyone else's motor has lasted a long time.

I think the fast motors are hard tuned standard motors, so that they'll run like beasts, till they die.
What actually is it in the motors that dies?
Is it the two springy contacts that touch the armature, cos this happened on a dual celled motor of mine?
