Microsizer Steering Magnet

FYI

My microsizer bB Layman tri-cell "lowrider" was having difficulty steering to the left. I got upset and took the front clip apart. I found that the magnet was shifted to one side, but the funny thing was I saw 5 (not 4) steering wires. There was a nice long brown hair stuck under the steering coil that was blocking the tie rod travel. I pulled the 'Asian' hair outta my car, glued the magnet, and it steers sooo much better. Since it's a 'lowrider' now, I punch it and get it up to speed, and hit L or R and it is so responsive that it does a 360' either way.

So you think lowering it helped it steer quicker, or just putting the magnet back in place?

the magnet placment is mucho important. having a lower center of gravity will keep it from flipping.

Agreed, lowering helps it from flipping, the thing steered crazy even when it was lowered, when the magnet was tweaked. Lowering looks koo, but if you're into jumping, or small bumps, leave it up, or shave the ground effects off the front bumper, so it doesn't catch on stuff. (otherwise, run on the flat)

springs really help with bumps and high g turns. also more weight over the rear keeps the ass end from slipping allover the place.

I lowered my bB so low, that the front suspension travel is slightly impaired. The suspension piece just barely bumps the underside of the hood of my truck toward the end of travel. This (for some reason) makes it turn way sharper in high turns (like on a dime). I think the outside front wheel on a turn digs in more because it doesn't move up as high. Either way, it's tight because it's so low that it doesn't flip. Because it has the tri-cells in the belly, it's a great road racer.

I'll try to post some pics tonight when I get home from work.
