Talking Feb 6 - Cosmogames has all 4 Type R's in stock!

The Mazda RX-7 has just arrived, so at this moment they have all 4 Type R cars in stock - the Trueno, the RX-7, the Pitworks and the NSX-R. Click here for a direct link to their page of Type R DigiQ's

I'm about to order my RX-7

Keal, Thanks for the info. I canceled my order at Hobbylink Japan and ordered the RX-7 from Cosmo with 2nd Day Air delivery! It didnt save me any money but I will get the car a lot sooner. I got my Pitwork Skyline today. I will be posting a reveiw on it tomarrow, I will say that if you like the NSX you will like the Pitwork.

djmr2, that's a tough choice! But whichever car you choose, you can't go wrong if you're getting the Propo Special along with it

Adam, that's great! After you pointed out that the RX-7 was available at HLJ, I saw one for sale on eBay from a Hong Kong seller. I had a suspicion that a new batch of the car must have been shipped out, and sure enough it showed up on Cosmogames today! I was about to order from HLJ too, but stopped by Cosmogames for a last check. I'm glad I did! I look forward to your review of the Pitworks, it looks like a nice car with all the decals... here's a pic of the real car next to the DigiQ version, from the Konami site

Sorry to kinda go off topic... but i went to Cosmo to check out the digi's, and it's frustrating to see that the Formula comes standard w/ the 'Propo Special' for like $69... and on top of that you can buy ANY of the Formula Car's seperately . But to get the control you need with the 'Propo Special' and the Fly @ss stylin's of the DRS line, you gotta spend over $100 bucks . Sorry again for the ranting guys, but it's just not fair. Takara needs to re-adjust their line options.

Anyway keal, thanks for the update... even if it did cause me more pain than pleasure.

kwikbb,

I hope Takara does start packaging some of their upcoming cars with the Propo Special. That would make it so much easier for people to want to buy a DigiQ!

If it makes you feel any better, the Propo controller that comes with the Formula cars can only work with those cars and not the DigiQs. Also, practically everyone is complaining about how awful the Formula cars are, so I guess the least they could do was package a good controller with the car. I checked out the cars on Cosmogames, and I think you were looking at the Formula car bodies for $24.99. Those aren't the whole car, just the body They did have one car without the controller, and that one was $40.00. I'm guessing that means all the Formula cars perform the same, and you just need to buy different bodies for your chassis, like the Bit Char-G cars.

Getting over the hump and buying that Propo Special and your first car is the hardest part. Once you get it, though, it's not as hard to buy the next car, and the next... the quality of the cars and the controller make it seem like it's worth the money

Man , i gotta admit, it's so hard to plunker down and actually get it. I really want to get the Propo Special but then again it's the same price as a AE86 Trueno... could have a car or another controller... hmmm

Get the controller. You can only run one car at a time by yourself. BUT, if you have the Propo Special controller ONE car is more than enough (unless you get obsessed,Like me, and have to own the ALL!!) Anyway I suggest you get the controller. Like Keal said, once you get it, the cars are not to hard of a choice. Look at it this way, If you get two cars, BUT you hate the controllers, You will be frustrated and may give up on something great, BUT if you get the controller and one car, you become hooked! One of my close friends (hes in his thirties) said-"come on, ALL the cool kids are doing it" He said that to everyone about everything,so it just seemed like the right time to repeat it.

strakka,

I'm sorry I don't know if CosmoGames has an actual store. Hopefully someone else here might know. If not, you should be able to email them and ask

Wow, getting those cars and the Special controller at one time would be great!
