Herbie the beetle is back!

i got bored waiting for the beatle or mini which ever is coming out so i made this beelte along with a mini myself. as you can see i gave it the most popular beetle paint job. anyway this is the body i will be molding from so i figured id practice painting on it.

what do ya think?

i made it with a hacksaw and a lot of putty/bondo/superglue. i am still gonna hack on it a bit.. i need to put in the detail for the doors and such i.e. the door lines.... but i did most of it last night. tonite im gonna just clean it all up.

The stripes are a tiny bit wide for that scale, but if that's the worst thing I see, then you are still kicking butt!

Yes, I want one too, but I'm holding out for an old beetle.

i agree with the stripes... the blue is pretty much to scale.. the red is way to fat, what was when my tape failed me and i was freehanding. and the number on the hood is supposed to intercept the red stripe. but i didnt realize that till it was done.. oops. anyway this is not the body that will go on my bit. this is just the mold.
