And it's priced very attractively too! If it includes the charger and all you need is the Tx, then I'd rather buy this package instead of the RTR w/ Tx for sure.

TinyRC, is there any way you can negotiate w/ the Epoch supplier on such deal? I bet you would sell a whole lot more Epoch cars if people don't need to be forced to pay for that ultra ugly Tx currently bundled w/ the package. At $45 a pop, I will surely get at least 2 for myself and then do the 4-cell mod.

Wow, great find, I will contact Epoch about this. The problem with this set is that it still requires the charger, which will drive the price up a lot more when bought as a solo unit. However, I'll let you guys know what Epoch say about this set - thanks!

I hope they make this setup available. This is just what most of us have been looking for, especially those who want to add to their existing collection.

Agreed, the one thing I would like to see added is a charger or even just the plug so that it could be connected to a peak charger.

Hmmmm, I might have to stop over to the Radio Shack again and see if I can't find an adapter that would fit.

Please do! I would imagine it is a standard size.

So there is no way you could charge the epoch with a normal charger? Is it possible to bodge up a connector?

You certainly can charge one with a normal charger (as long as it's adjustable down to 0.6A or so and can handle 3 cells). The trick is to find the connector that the Epoch uses, other than taking one from a stock charger.

Alright some info from Radio Shack...

Radio Shack part #s:
- 273-1743 (Adaptaplug connect to lead wires)
- Adaptaplugs (These are the plugs themselves, I don't know which one is the proper size though)
- Power Adapter (9v at 300mAH for $10.79US)...Better to get the Epoch official adapter, it's less than $10 and 9v at 500mAH

Nope, haven't tried them...I've already got the car chargers, so I'm going to chop off the connecter and work it off my new Smart Charger.
