My Microsizer Sport is a MONSTER!

I grabbed a Microsizer Sport at Target the other night. I hadn't had a chance to play with it, but I wasn't expecting much...I had to trim of some flashng on the front supension to get it working properly, and a couple of the tires had flashing on them that need to be trimmed off, just so it would roll correctly. On top of the sloppy work, it has less that 2" of antenna sticking out.

So I didn't expect much, but I tried it today, and this thing is a monster. With the stock 1.6 it was pelling out everywhere. At first it was uncontrolable, but after a minute it tamed down, and I was getting killer power slides. Then I tried the 2.6 from my clone, and it was insane. Driving on 2 wheels, flipping in the middle of wild power slides. It was great. My new favorite car.

I do charge my battery 3 times which is part of the reason I get so much punch (and 10-15 min. run times), but this thing is still way punchier than my Bit Char-G.

As an added bonus the antenna on the controller is 7" longer than the one on my Bit. I've had no problems with glitching, even with that tiny antenna on the car.

that's really kinda odd... the PCB is good maybe? or is it because of the peak charger? (if you are using a peak charger...)

See, I thought it was odd too, that's I why I brought it up, thought maybe I have a fluke.

Nope, not using a peak charger, just chargeing 3 times, and it's not even getting the battery warm.

The longer antenna on the controller made me think that, if they are not paying attention to this message board, they must be paying attention to the many message boards, and web sites all over the net, but then maybe the antenna is a fluke too. Maybe they were just in too much of a hurry to measure it.

Oh well, whatever works.

I just got my microsizrs sport yesterdy and noticed a little square cut into the controller on the top right. Could this be the same controller case as the two speed Bit's? I hope so because that would mean that the new automodelista set will be a two speed.

My Sport was a dogggggg.....

It ran decent the first run, after that, it crawled. I dropped in a KIT 2.2 and voila! Waiting for my 150MAh & Extreme 3.2 & 3.5's to come this week !

Hogjowls, the "layman's dual cell mod" is in my future, and I'm particulary interested in haveing 3-cells under the body. Looks like I'll be having to do that variable resistor mod.

Rabbitsperm, don't worry about it, I need to learn to type, and I'm too lazy to go back and edit my post.

DarkTari, see I probably did get a fluke, like I said, the quality control didn't seem very good.

I forgot to mention catching air off the edge of a thin piece of cardboard. It was nutty.

i think i kno how to get ur motor faster if you want it to go faster with the same amount of tourqe..just open up the engine take out the 1.6 middle and put a 2.2 or 2.6 or higher middle in it..now it should rip

i picked up a couple the other day, however i havent noticed the longer antenna. i will have to measure later. but so far it runs good... it does however get the same range as my bit. 12-15 feet. but my precious clone goes a bit farther. i think partially because of the fatter antenna wire on the car, and solid antenna on the controller, but the steering kinda sucks on that car...
