is it faster after it's done accelerating? i know my r-spec accels ok but once it really is up to speed it flies. try racing them side by side if you have a second bit. or time it if you only have 1.

have you tried say...20 of them and picked out the faster ones?

for some reason, tomy 2.6 and 3.0s are very variable. It took me 6 of them to find the one that really works like a 2.6. Meh. i would get a slightly faster or slightly slower motor anyways. I dont like to deal with one just crapping out in the middle of a lap

Motor collecting seems to be the real hobby ive been sucked into. I have motors from just about everywhere and atleast 2 of each or more. Friends pagers(hope they dont find it missing) dks tomy tinyrc and a bunch of others. Its like the lottery with motors. I have 1.0s saved that are wicked fast and 3.8s stuck in the ceiling next to pencils ive thrown away at work. Turning the cars over and leting them wind out seems to help, also making sure everything else in your car is tip top ie steering and you have to have atleast one decent battery to test all these engines. I have all the cassis ill ever need, tires, batteries etc etc but im sure to be collecting motors for a long time..they should be cheaper with there success rate these motors....And now the monster bits are here, havent got mine yet but I smell even more mods and motor options......

I know what you mean!
I think the one thing I will order on line will be motors!
probably an assortment of the high-end ones if I can.
