My new Micro Sizer

Well i went out and bought a Micro Sizer today. I got the MS sport for 20 bucks at target and put the 2.6 moter from a KITT racer in it and i have to say
i am very impressed. I have had a bunch of zips and i modded the hell out
of them to get speed. but this little guy flys stock no its not as fast as a 3 cell
zip but comparing the two stock this puts it all over the zip. I got the zips first because i liked the size better but once i got them i never even used the bodys hence "race them naked". Now i am hooked i think the overall quality
is better and the range on the stock controller is better than my zips i am getting about 12 feet out of a 27mhz. Well its off to play some more.

3 cell mods are the best!! i have yet to purchase a zipzap. but this is what im going to do, fit all 3 cells in the zipzap chassis and put my bit char g pcb on my zipzap. now your talking about the real deal here i myself dont like clones, but when it comes to being on a low budget, shen qi wei is the way to go. u can purchase them for cheap at kensshop.com. its about 6.75 each

3 cell mod

Hey, on my 3 cell cars, I always twist the gears out of them. What do you do? My wheels come loose from the axle, or the gears come loose. When the wheels come loose, the thing spins out. I try glue, doesn't work.

Ya know, my 3cell cars flip over when I turn too fast, anyway. I have a fairlady booster on order, I am going to do a layman 2 cell mod, and see if it is fast enough for me.

Any thoughts? Drag racing is awesome, but road racing is fun too.

I read the "so you wanna do wheelies." This doesn't help keep from spinning the gears and wheels off the axles.

I tried super glue, but it doesn't hold either, and the wheels wobble a bit.

how does it not? the axles aint goin anywhere once you epoxy them(with tube between epoxy and axle) this is way more precise than stock.

or do you mean the gear and wheel on the drive side falls off?

Yeah,

I have no problems holding the axle in the chassis, I have a hard time keeping wheels and gears fixed on the axle itself. (even with super glue) I break 'em. I have a Thunder Char-A that I stretched out and put a zip zap body on. I have 2 cells in the belly, and one on the rear deck. The car doesn't wheelie out, or freak out. It is very straight. I just can't get it to stop eating gears.

no i never had that prob with a 3 cell car. I did take the third cell out though
its not very fun it would flip over when i was trying to go straight. but as far as your gear sliping off look at your pinion gear one side is open and the other is closed off put the closed off end away from the moter so it holds the idler gear on.

Sorry man, my description must not be too lucid. I have been making the 'axle gear' spin on the axle, as well as the wheels. Not the other gears. No sweat though. I have decided that 3 cells is not for me. Even with the cells in the belly, the car is just not that much fun, because it flips when you turn too sharp.

Check this out... I have 2 identical 49MHZ Toyota dB 'Microsizers'. On one, I added 2 more cells (3 total) that fit perfectly under the cab. No cutting to the body. On the other one, I put in a PCB from a generic 'CHAR-A' car and just 1 extra cell (2 total). The Char-A 2 cell runs quicker, faster, and has more torque than the 3 cell mod. Are the standard Microsizer PCB's doggie?

btw-I fully charged both, and used identical motors for the test.

Sipsap, you say you got good range with your new sport. I just got one the other day (the orange one) and my range sucks. I lifted the pcb board cover in suspition and gosh darnit, if I didnt fing the dreaded pcb crip cap. Did yours have it by the way. I also have the GTR set and it had the same crip cap and after I removed it the range like doubled. Out of curiosity did yours have the same crip cap?
