Arrow Different Duel Cell Mods?..!?!

Are there different ones? im reading that there is the one for longer run time, and one one for more speed/power... i did the one on QFM and all it did was slow it down, but it lasted for like ever... anyone got links for duel cell mods for power? help this dumba$$ out.!!

If you wire in series, you add the voltage but keep the capacity (mAh) the same. If you wire in parallel, you add the capacities but keep the voltage the same.

If you did the QFM mod and got increased capacity but it went slower (due to extra weight of 2nd battery) then you may have wired in parallel by mistake. You want to wire in series for extra speed. In effect, the batteries should be end-to-end when wired; they don't necessarily have to be touching end-to-end but should be connected that way.

A basic dual cell (series) mod would start with the negative, flat end of one battery wired to or touching the negative terminal (the one with the black wire), with that battery's positive, button-top end wired to the negative end of the second battery. That second battery's positive end should then be wired to the positive terminal (the one with the red wire). You can arrange the batteries however you like, but that's how they need to be connected.

If you don't want to mess with all that, why don't you try The Layman's Dual/Tri Cell Mod?

Yeah maybe my problem with it going slower is that the weight.. and that i had a 3.8 in it.. maybe i just needed more space to hit the top end, but i didnt have enuff. i guess.. my bit is out of commison so it doesnt matter.

go to: http://agitator.dynip.com/agitator/Generator/wiring.htm for a wonderful explaination of wiring in series and parralel and even both! Im still not sure if wiring in parralel or series adds adds speed

Hey there...

Series ups the voltage, so that in turn ups the speed. Since the batteries we are using are 1.2v, then two batteries in series is 2.4v. The stamina (mah rating) remains the same.

Parallel keeps the voltage the same (no increase in speed) but it doubles the stamina (mah rating) so two 1.2v 50mah batteries in Parallel makes for 1.2v @ 100mah. You will get a lot more running time this way.

Regards, Shanman
