panther motor in a bit charg kicks ass!!!
wow... now im kinda glad i bought the panther. i have a 3.0 that came with my bit but it didnt have any torque... i dont know if its just the motor or what because i hear people saying it sux or that it works great... ne ways
i decided to go ahead and mess with the other motors. i pulled out the 2.6 from one of my kit racers and it worked fine... then i decided to fit the panther motor in there... first problem the motor was a bit too big. the heat sink wouldnt close at first. then i noticed the kit racer called energi had a heat sink with a hump in it. with a little tweaking i got it to fit in there. and now im thinking it runs like a 3.5!!! it runs on carpet and from what ive seen it looks like it runs faster than my 3.0!!! its just too bad i cant put the bit motors in my panther...
does anyone know what motor actually comes with the panther?

I have no idea what motor is in the Panther's but I agree with ya on the torque they put out.
As for sticking it in a bit? I've tried and failed, but now I'll have to try again.

Here's what I've discovered...
The motors in most clones are the same thing as the zz turbo motor. I lost my clone motor (and yes, it still burns deep down inside ) . Then I bought some zz stuff and what do u know, the turbo was the same exact thing!

hey pwalk, if you do try to put the panther motor in your bit i would advise looking for an extra heat sink to bend into shape. or you could go to target give them 4 bucs (yay bucs!!! heh heh) and get yourself the kit racer called energi. it comes with the heatsink with the hump in it. thats the only cool thing about the energi kit racer... the motor is a 2.2 i think and the battery is a stock nicad... but like i said get the heat sink bend it a bit and have fun with your new super torqued bit!

Thx krillin, the target around here is out of the kit racers here in philly, but I will spend the $5 at toysrus for it.
Oh and real nice with the "bucs" comment, I'm still shocked over that game.
Go Raiders!! lol
