Made in Japan?

For some reason, I never took the time to see what country was putting these all out. I always see posts on the boards asking if other posters can read Japanese, so I assumed the Bits and MS's were atleast made in Japan. To my surprise they're not. In fact, not one single micro rc that I have is made in Japan. Everything is from China. From the Zips, Bits, Bensu's, MotorWorks, the SharperImage micros and DigiQ's. Can anyone tell me if Japan makes a micro or does China control the market? I understand it's easier for China cos' the use of cheap labor, but does any other country make these besides China?

Just curious...

An interesting topic, and it has no specific relevance to the Bit either...Off to the Misc. Discussion forum then.

Just to clarify, many of them are designed in Japan by Japanese companies, but then the production is done in China, due to the lower costs etc. Some companies do their initial production in Japan but then move it to China once they are ready to ramp it up (e.g. Mini-Zs).
