Abbreviations and their meanings...

As requested, this thread is intended to enlighten anyone not familiar with some of the abbreviations used around the forums.

Let's keep this thread about abbrev. dealing with the remote control car world, the other things (like lol, rofl and such is common speak and can be found easily on the net)

Okay, in no particular order:

Bit = Bit Char-G
MS = MicroSizer
LHS = Local Hobby Shop/Store (a physical store you actual walk into)
RS = RadioShack (also called Ratshack)
clone = Inexpensive imitations of Bits
ZZ = ZipZaps. RadioShacks clone of the Bits
PCB = Printed Circuit Board. The component (in the car or controller) that controls everything
LXX = Brand name of a clone. The LXX has been noted as one of the better Bit clones

Okay, feel free to add/ask anything about abbrev.

Rx - Receiver (to recieve the incoming commands and process them)

Tx - Transmitter, often called the "controller"

I've been using BCG for BitChar-G
SMD=Surface Mount Device (referring to the components on the PCB)
Endbell=the colored end of a Bit motor.

Namuna, sorry for the latter part of my original post. It was a (unsuccesful) attempt at humor
