is this a good deal?
i'm trying to find 2 cars for me and a buddy of mine. it doesn't have to be the fastest or fancy, just equally matched b/w the two cars.
2 Lxx Char-G micro cars for $36
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3106183907
should i spend a little extra and get the tomy/microsizers or would these be fine for what i'm wanting?
would you recommend any other brand? i don't even need things to be interchangeable.
thanks

Well, it would be if the guy didn't rape you on shipping.

If you have a walgreens near you, go there.
The ebay deal isn't bad but it's not good either. It's fair.

cool, thanks for your help guys, i'll go run down to walgreens now and check out what they have since they're just right down the road.
i didn't know if the ones they sell there would be too cheap or slow. are they able to be upgraded?

here are some places in the states that you can check for tiny rc's:
1) Hobby Town USA
*************************************************
i would check their website (check google i dont know off hand) and see if theres one around you. at the one near my place all ive seen were the micro sizers for $31.00. ive also heard that some sell the cyclonas and other bullet clones.
2) Wal~Mart
*************************************************
this is where you'll find those motor works cars for around $13.00. pretty cheap and pretty fast. cant upgrade much on them though... almost nothing.
3) Walgreens
*************************************************
like you said there were those three kinds. z cars and other bullets. i personally havent seen any around me but thats just me...
4) Radio Shack
*************************************************
good luck finding zip zaps... they are all sold out all the time i go... but they do sell parts and stuff. seen a nice looking tool kit that might come in handy.
5) Target
*************************************************
if you check target now you could buy those hot wheels KIT racers. they arent the same thing but you can use the parts. i think theyre genuine tommy parts too. and the cheapest ive heard them goin are $1.98!!! and you get tires, a battery, either a 2.2 or 2.6 motor and gears that might or might not work... might be too small a gear ratio...
also at target i have seen microsizers!!! only 20 bucks there! but i didnt get the chance to get one damnit!
6) Hastings
*************************************************
i heard you can buy microsizers here... might be expensive.
7) a Mall with those people selling stuff in a cart...
*************************************************
in my experience malls like this are called Mills? i know theres a Grapevine Mills Mall around here, and ive been to an Ontario Mills Mall in california... all i know is i think i saw some shens or some other type of bullet clone being sold at one of the carts...
another good tip is to actually check the websites of the types of cars your gonna buy... i believe the microsizers website has a link showing all the locations you can buy the cars at.
whew... lots o typing!

They are always on sale now for $20 at Target. I c them all the time. The same 6 cars, but hey $20 for a Microsizer is what it's all about. Nice research Krillin. Hey did I mention I used 2 live in Roanoke and Argyle?

yeah you did. i think it was in a way older post. i replyed but then the flood of new posts came in... heh heh. thats prolly why i stay up so late trying to read em all.
as for the research tis nothing. ive actually been to all those places getting ready for my actual tomys to come in the mail... they were sent on the 8th i believe. so i decided to buy parts and stuff. just thought id pass the research down since i know the situation newbies are in. im still kind of a newb actually.

kids -
i found those HW Kit Racers at ToysRUs last night. they were on sale from $11 down to $6.98. i figured it seemed a bit steep since everyone was saying they saw them at Target for $1.98-4.98, but i went ahead since they had the really fast one there. pay attention when u buy them because some only come with 2 tires and a set of drifting wheels. i got the one with the small front wheel axle and am going to use it on my car for a lowered mod. add a gear, snap it in and go racer, go!
