Exclamation Once again, dual battery prob.

Here is my problem, When i go to charge my zip(with dual batteries), it doesn't work. BUT i have a 3.0 volt 700mA custom charger. It seems my zip will only charge while the LED is on orange(red), but it is extremely hard to get the zip on orange. And when i try to keep it on orange it will turn green after 30 seconds, and the car will only run for 30 secs before dying out. When i went to check all the connections, everything was fine, but i did notice that the negative terminal for the car was loose. I am now thinking that: 1.) I have fried one of my batteries, or 2.) it just won't charge. What do yall think is wrong? Help would be appreciated.

On a lighter note, the dual battery mod worked the first time i tryed it and it was doing barrel rolls everytime i would attempt to turn and it ran for at least 15 minutes, but when i woke up the next morning i got the problem that happened above.

P.S. thanks to epochracer for his help

how did you get a custome charger to work with your controller led i also use
a 3 volt 700 mah charger when i installed it in the controller i just ran wires
from the charging station to the plug and bypassed the pcb altogether i dont think that the 45 seconds the controller will let the car charge is enough for 2 batts i normally charge mine for 90 seconds and somtimes up to 2 minutes and i have never had a problem so you may want to try the more direct path like i did

than you might want to make sure that your contact points in your car are lined up right mine started to slide forward from messing with the batteries
but i dont think your charger would work right i might be wrong on this and if anybody knows for sure some help would be apprecated but your car only charges for 45 seconds through the controller and than a circuit or somthing closes and the charging stops and thats not enough time for two batteries to charge heck its not fast enough for one battery to charge stock it only half charges the battery to keep you from overcharging it.

Well the first time it worked, i was able to charge at will, the reason why i stopped at 45 secs is because it thought it would fully charge two batteries and it did.

It looks like it. I compared it to my other zip and it looked fine, but when i put the battery in, i looked under the zip and the passenger side terminal looked just a tad off.

Exactly how are you guys getting the Body back on the chassis after a dual battery mod? The mod works well but the damn PCB wont fit back on ..and thus the Body wont fit back on.
Help is definently appreciated.

well the way i put the batteries in is this, i have the second one perpendicular to the 1st one and its on the driver side. it fits almost perfectly, all you have to do is sort of push the pcb down when you put the body on.

Charging wires? No, i just used two wires on the new battery and some insulator(tape) to "insert" it into the circuit. Think of it like having two batteries between those contacts you see. I used pliers to snap off the "Thang" at the buttom of my chassis. Didn't even see why it was there in the first place.

Well what i mean by charging wires, is that the wires that are connected to the charging base on the controller and do you manually charge the two batteries.

And what do you mean by ""insert" it into the circuit"
