It could work but you would have to rebuild it into a single flat pack.

Thanks for the info. More than I want to attempt right now. Just have to keep looking for a (relatively) inexpensive alternative.

(Though I WILL be getting at least one Mini-X body for my new DRR!)

actually there is no need to separate them into a flat line of cells. i ran mine in a saddle pack configuration with the electronics down the center. to attach the battery on the chassis you could make a battery hold in or simply use some 2-sided tape to hold it in temporarly or straping tape.
