Ordered Panthers, go Shen Qi Wei's.Which is better?
Hello,
I just got into the mini r/c scene, and ordered four 2.6 Panthers from eBay. I got them in the mail today, but when I opened them, they were Shen Qi Wei's instead. I'm not sure if the seller mixed them up, but the seller also sells 2.6 Shen Qi Wei's. Should I get them exchanged for Panthers? But I did hear that Shen Qi Wei's are really good too.
Could someone please help? I'm really anxious to try these out, or should I exchange for the Panthers?
Thanks for your time.

Keep 'em!!!
The Shens are a good, fast car. There is no need to go thru the time & expense of returning them.
My Shens/Rally Racers are my fastest box-stock cars. They handle well, after I tightened the front wheels on the spindles (a bunch of play in a couple of them).
Just my 2 cents!

Wow! Thanks VERY much for your quick replies! I'll go ahead and open them up now. My gf just got a Cyclona Boxed clone, and it works GREAT! Goes fast on the 2.2, turns fine, and goes pretty straight!
I'll see how these Shen Qi Wei s do.
Thanks again for your time

Your Shens will eat the Cylclona for breakfast. Upgrade you front magnet for improved steering and you will be smoking

Well, I am really pleased with my Shens! Are the Shen s better than Lxx clones?
Thanks, and Happy New Year all!

Again, I am happy with my Shen s, but this guy on eBay says Panther s are better. Is the paint or body on the Panther s better than the Shen s?
Another thing I was wondering, is what the body styles are that the Shen s have, and Panther s have. I can make out a couple Shen s like S2000, but does anyone know what kind of cars they are supposed to be? Do Shen s have different body styles than the Panther s?
Thanks for your time.

This is funny!
* *WARNING * *
BEWARE OF COUNTERFEITS!
This statement coming from a guy selling clone or knock-offs of the original Tomt Bit Char-G's!
My opinion is that this guy is a slick salesman trying to hype his product and differentiate himself from the other 1500 sellers of similair items on eBay. I have never seen a Panther so I cannot comment on their quality or performance.
The Panther bodies appear to be a Benz and a Ferrari.
The Shens I have are Honda S2000, Honda Accord wagon, Skyline, and a Nissan Gloria.

Hi johnrtse,
Thanks for your input.
I noticed that my Shen s go for about 10-12 minutes on one charge. WAY longer than my Charge-N-Go!
So the Panthers only come in two body styles?

Hi hogjowlz,
I'm pretty new with mini r/cs (just bought my first one, a Charge-N-Go, a couple weeks ago), but I have gotten addicted to mini r/cs, and recently tried a Cyclona (boxed version), which comes with a 2.2, and medium tires. I also got four Shen s from eBay (they were supposed to be Panthers, but I heard Shen s are just as good, if not better) that come with a 2.6, and I believe they are medium tires.
I tried out my gf's Cyclona first, and it was WAY better than my Charge-N-Go, as expected. Went pretty straight right out of the box, and spped and especially handling was also better than my Charge-N-Go. I was pretty impressed with the Cyclona for $19.98 (CDN, before taxes).
Then I tried one of the Shen s I got from eBay. The first thing I thought was: "WOW, FAST." It did not go straight, it veered left slightly, so I just adjusted the alignment tab on the bottom, and it goes straight now. Handling on it is great as well!
We raced my gf's Cyclona (Maroon Toyota bB Open Deck) vs my Shen (Red Nissan Skyline), and the Shen is definitely faster for sure.
So far I am VERY happy with my Shen s, but is there anyone who owns both a Shen and a Panther, and can tell me how they compare?
Thanks for your time.

They do. The 2.6 motors in the Shen s are nice and fast, and the Shen s handle great too. I want to build a little track for them now, but I have to buy some track first.
