The foam tires we stock for the Aktiv car work great on the DRR. The 7.2 battery packs also fit good. I used double sided tape to install mine

I have found that the rayovak batteries from wal-mart perform well. I have 3 sets of 6volt 700mah AAA packs with mounting plates for quick change. they are NiMH and you can only charge them, at most, 2 times a day or you WILL blow a cell. I charged my first pack 3 times and sure enough it busted one the 3 time. I would like to see someone put 6 of those 1800mah AA Rayovak batts in a RR! these things are REALLY light.

IV never tried 6 AA, Could you post a picture. The run time must be good. I know you can get AA with 2000mAH now! That would be some killer run time.

I got a few of the AAA packs from this place: http://www.racerhobbies.com/micro.shtml and they're working great. Run-time is about 45 min and there's plenty of power. They're nice and light too.

I just put 7.2v and Orion 180 core motor in mine. I used venom packs for the HPI micro. 1100 Mah and they work and fit perfectly. I'm an electrician so soldering my own packs is easy. But at twenty bucks a pack it is not worth it. They fit tightly in the chassis. No further fastening needed. As for weight. This thing needs more weight to give it more traction.

Alright, after modding this thing as much as i can, I decided to give in and finally buy a 7.2v pack. someone posted this link earlier and said they got some packs here. http://www.racerhobbies.com/micro.shtml Which of these will be the fastest/most efficient for my DRR. And also, what kind of charger will i need to get? any links, pics would be very informative. thanks !
