a diffrent light mod

Well I was comparing my r34 black body skyline to real ones on the web and I noticed the running lights below the head lights and on my car i saw they where there but they were painted over so i took a knife and carfully cup off the paint in that little square and colored it with orange marker and I plan on puting in a light kit this week end so i tested it with a little flash light and it looks really good I was woundering if any one has thought of this and if it might be a bad idea?.... which i dont see nothing wrong in it...
if the pic works well it should be more orange looking but my cam sucks and reminder thats with a flash light not the original kit...

yea i trying to do a light mod for my skyline too...it came out really good...im gonna try putting fog lights and some how put another led in to make a high beam..i would post it but my camera broke

ya I was thinking I have one of those optical illusion christmas trees and the wires that they use just need a little bit of light entered on one side and magnefy it on the other end so i was going to do that to the back from the front lights i try'd it with a flash light which is brighter than the head lights and it wasnt enough light to come out the back oh well....
