My first mod!! and a question

OK today i went out and got the rare earth magnets from Radio shack. No problems installing them, very straight forward. The turning is much tighter and consistent now. But i noticed something while my bit was open. the 4 hairlike wires for steering. one of them was black while the others were the normal maroon/red color. is it burning? is something wrong? It was only black up until the coils where it turned red again. Sorry i can't post pictures of it, but can anyone help?

Oh another question. The led mod. on my supra i noticed the headlights are painted silver. Will led's shine thru that silver?

i wouldnt worry about that. i have several cars and never had problems with those wires. if it steers fine dont worry about it.
