Pink for a bit char-g would be a 3.8 motor...but since it's a clone I'm not sure. If it's "pinkish" (it's supposed to be red) for a zipzap than it's a turbo engine. Again as to telling what it is in the clone then I couldn't help you...maybe someone else here with one could though. It might also help to post pictures if at all possible.
As far as one being faster than the other...it depends on setup. From what I keep reading the fastest are the Char-Gs and some various brands of clones. As a personal preference though I would stick with the Char-g simply because there are more compatible parts available, a lot cooler modifications, and are better made.

Ah but colors do mean something if you have a blue micro b 1.0 engine running in one bcg and a yellow 2.2 engine in another than the one w/ the yellow will be faster. So in a way you could say that color and performance are intertwined.

4.0 motors?
i have seen a page advertising 4.0 motors. is this a scam? or are they real. if so can you just drop them in or do you have to do other mods to get them to work?

the 4.0s are believed (and rightly so) to be a scam. If you want something that fast you can purchase a 3.8 motor from this site right here! Just go to the parts section. And yes you basically just replace the one thats in there now with the new motor (be it 3.8 or whatever) and it will work w/ no further modifications needed.
hogjowlz, ok but what about zipzap motors? they're color coded as well. The yellow NOS motor being the fastest OEM motor (that I know of anyway) could definitely beat a blue (slowest/most easily controlled engine) engine in all out drag racing. Then there's the very cool red Turbo engine w/ lotsa torque which I like a lot. I'd use it more if it didn't keep popping out of the engine casing.

I have heard that the heat sink that comes in the bit racers kit can hold i the larger motors such as the ZZ's and the after market motors. Can anyone confirm this. I tried my friends ZZ motor in my MS, and it kept popping out on me. If it will work it would be well worth the 7 dollars for a bit racer kit
