Project Car: Mini Cooper!

Here is the makings of my first real project- a Mini!

I found this body at my local farm/fleet store in the toy section; it was attached to an ugly 4x4 toy chassis (the only one there ). See how it is perfect size for a MicroSizer chassis.

After a dip in Pine-Sol (regular- NOT the "anti-bacteral") to get the ugly green paint off, it is ready for the mods. This body will easily accomodate an extra battery on the rear, still inside the body.

I will probably fill the sunroof, paint it British Racing Green, and put a Union Jack on the roof!

That's great... Can you take a pic of the package it came in. That's if you didn't toss it.

No package- just a price tag stuck to it!

NICE! If you can pick one up for me, I can trade you one or two of many different bodies for it. I have a bunch. Check out all the bodies at my site:
http://www.thebrokenjoystick.com/pictures/minirc

If you don't want to do that for me, can you tell us the manufacturer (maybe check the bottom of it?), or the store you got it at? Maybe a picture of what it looked like in the store before you started modding it? You didn't say - how much was it?

When I picked this up at the store a week ago it was the only Mini - there were only a couple other strange/goofy body styles left there.

It only cost $1.29 plus tax. I will go back in a couple days to see if they have restocked the shelves for Christmas.

If so, I'll pick up as many Mini's as they have. I'll let you folks know in a few days
