Just wanted to share this with the forum. I built this multicharger so that I can charge up to 8 cars at once. The biggest problem I found in trying to build this was that the chargers will try to pull over 1amp each if given the opportunity which causes them to get very hot and with time will probably damage both the charger and the batteries. The transformer that you can buy for the spec 2 is rated 9V and 500ma but it actually is over 14V and around 750ma when measured on a digital multimeter. So I wired an 8ohm resistor to each charger to drop the amperage down to about 850ma. The power supply is standard 13.8V 10amp max. Each charger is wired in parallel so the voltage is constant to each charger. I wired a 1amp meter to one charger so I could see what the actual amp rate was. This amp rate should be the same for all the other chargers because they are wired in parallel.
I've got quite a few, not all of them work though. I bought two or three as extra parts. Also I have yet to race 8 together on my track, the most I've had is three. Most people my age have grown up. :-)
You can make a similar charger for three with a 12V 1500ma transformer and three 8ohm 20watt resistors from radio shack.
