Easy, Cheap, & Fast Track Design
This is a very easy to make a track that is lightweight and portable.
All you need is:
Fridge Cardboard boxes (3 or 4)
Exacto knife
pressed felt (or any thin surface)
Glue
Stack the boxes (unfolded on top of each other) and cut out your track design in all but one of your boxes. Stacking the boxes allows the bits to hit the wall without going off the track. Three boxes thick is enough to keep your bit on the track. Glue the cut pieces togeather and set to the side. Now take your last cardboard box and glue the pressed felt (for traction) onto the surface. This way your bit won't slip on the slick cardboard.
Dont glue the felt board to the track board. This way you can make new tracks without having to make another felt board. Simply secure the two boards togeather with some tape.
Tell me if you like it!
PS: to get fridge boxes, just go to any place where fridges are sold and ask for any leftover boxes from the displays.

It works really well. If you have a new blade in your knife you can make a track in about 15-20 minutes.
Also, the felt is a real plus. You get great traction and there is almost no slipage. Just make sure you get "pressed" felt because the normal stuff will tear up your wheels and gears because small strands get stuck in you bit.
Happy Tracking
