Rocket Booster Mod
My friend modded his ZZ with an Estes model rocket engine (size A, the smallest). He had it remotely launched, but I am not sure how he did it.
Basicly you drill a hole in the back of your body and wedge a rocket engine in there. You must make a nose wing or it will launch itself. (If you ever want your bit to fly...). Now you take the ignition switch and hook it up to the engine.
3...2...1...FIRE !!!!!
Your bit will bound to new and untold speeds! My friend launched his in a race at school (don't do this! He got in a lot of trouble!), but you can do it anywhere you want. I set up a track with those "Darta Track's" down my driveway and shot mine off. It goes so fast!
I would not recomend that you use a "NEW" car because it it hits somthing it is toast! I bought a clone for this little mod and good thing I did because when I launched it it "flew" and smashed into a fence. The car was destroyed and the only part I could get from it was the motor.
GET IT ON TAPE IF YOU CAN! IT IS SO COOL TO SEE A TRAIL OF SMOKE AS YOUR BIT FLIES DOWN THE ROAD.

an estes rocket engine is ignited by a detonator that "detonates" with power put thru it, i just touch wires from the detonator to a car battery and it tends to ignite it.... I wonder if you could connect the detonator to a bit so when u tap reverse it sets it off? would be handy for the last straight of a big course...

That would work, but if you use it on a course (unless it is 500 feet long) it will run off the track.
This mod is just for fun, not real racing

hmm, since steering is pretty much out of the question, why use a bit at all? why not just a cheap hot wheels type car?
sounds fun tho.
