It's unlikely that a 4.0 will ever be released due to the mechanics of these motors, it just isn't really possible. 3.8 is pretty much the limit at this scale.

we'll just have to wait and see. . . perhaps it's possible but I'll beleive it when I see it. I don't know what sort of device people use to measure the RPMs on these motors but one could just easily say his 3.8 is a 4.0. But again let's just wait and see

Yeah,

On my contacts page on bitchar-gmotors.com some guy e-mailed us wanting to sell us 5.1 motors. I don't believe it. The motors at bitchar-gmotors.com are manufactured and we know that you could not fit any more wire into those motors. It is not possible. You can do a double motor mod. But you will also need more battery. But it is not possible to pull a higher motor. I mean all the orders we get for the 3.8 motors we would make faster motors if it was possible it would be the smart thing for us to do right? But we can't. Sorry they are scammers.

Just wondering... What is involved in making one of those? I can't imagine you hand wind them. It would seem that with the volume you put out that just wouldn't be possible.

no way. he read it on a website so it has to be true. i have a 16.3 motor. the tab on the back is plaid. but the zipzaps stock motor is 8 times as fast after i disabled the battery in the chassis and added a fuzion reactor.

I didn't mean for it to be harsh. I just thought I would let everyone know if we could go higher believe me we would go higher that would mean we could sell more. But 3.8 is pushing the limit.

Faster = mo money

As I have stated in other posts:

There are 5 and 8 mm motors available that will fit in bit chassis that will actually run up to 121,000 rpm.

You just have to figure out how to get 6v in a bit chassis and where the heck you are gonna come up with $235us for it.

check smoovy.com

i never said the motor had to fit into the bits motor mount or be as big as the regular motor size. Im buying a bunch of slightly bigger than normal motors. mounting them isnt what i care about (cause my car is gonna have a body raise and monster truck tires, or more space)
