well, I ordered my first 3.8 motor and got it in the mail friday and I was really excited to see how my dual cell bit would perform with it. well, I plugged it into the charger, all was going fine until about 4 seconds into the charge, the motor revved up and quickly let out a small puff of smoke. my new motor was toast

at first, I got mad at the person I bought it from (on ebay) but then I thought that maybe it was my fault. I thought this because I charge my bit with an 8 AA 9.6 volt battery pack. usually my bit charges in about 10 seconds with this set up and the PCB board would usually get a bit warm after charges. could the high voltage possibly have fried my motor?
