done a few mods.

Mystic purple/green PT

Pro-Stock eclipse(had to shave wheel well...great for carpet)

nubs from a thinkpad+longer antenna+a/c adapter plug(on back)

Another shot of the PT(paint came out very smooth)

Serial Dual 150mA battery mod(under pcb..great for low center of gravity) red motor/green gears

with the dual batt mod the cover will still fit, if i can find it.lol

the car will still charge on the controller, but i wired in a
switching a/c adapter plug and i'm using an 800mA universal
3,4.5,6,7.5,9,12v adapter...using the adapter at 3 volts allows u to use the controller and charger for single batt zz. switching the adapter to 4.5v allows u to charge the dual batts and it still works with the led/timer charging functions.

it's the dupont mirage system..3 cans for 20 bucks.(autozone)
one base flat black...one can that sprays the sparkles on...another can that is clear coat.

first tape off anything u dont want painted...windows,lights..etc
spray the car with 2 light coats of the black base coat.
let it dry. spray very light coats of the sparkle. i did 6 coats, waiting 5 minutes between each coat. then let it dry compltetly..2 hours or so. then spray on a VERY light coat of clear. wait 15 minutes...spray on a little thicker coat of clear. wait an hour..use an exacto knife to get the taped sections off. while the paint is drying, it will be rubbery, so buff it with a tshirt or soft cotton cloth..this will make it very smooth...let it dry overnight...

it is enamel, so it is very durable...

these are 150mA and about 2mm shorter than the stock ones..
i get about 15 minutes of high speed runtime with one and a half charges. the batteries dont even get warm.
i have run it for 2 hours straight, run charge run charge etc..with both batteries nothing will fry..the motor doesnt get hot either.
red motor and green gears has a lot of tq and if i use slicks on all fours, it rolls on every corner...so i have medium on the back and a modified stage 3 swaybar up front.

i used to have the resistors jumped..but i felt no gain with it and a single batt and removed it when i went double.

if i didnt have so much fun with my bit char g as well, i would have swapped pcbs...

Thumbs up

I had a similar idea to the pro-stock eclipse...are those back wheels from the Muscle Machines? Was planning to try that with my MS...might not have to shave the wheel wells for that.
LOVE the paint on the PT Cruiser...

Great work, man.
