Body surgery

I was in Target a few days ago to check if they sell any clones that I could nab for spare parts etc. They didnt have anything.

While I was there I noticed some Muscle Machines cars. This has probably been covered here before since they claim to be 1/64 scale. I thought to myself that it would be kewl to have a nice and heavy body for my dual bat zip. However, this body doest line up quite rite and seems to be a trues 1/64 scale than the ZZ bodies.

Anyway, Im thinking of taking out my dremel and going to town. I think i can make it work with some effort. Anyway, has anyone ever tried this? Say it was too short and I needed to extend it. What could be used to fuse the metal together? I was thinking I could solder some of the body and then sand it down. Doubt it would work right, but I'm in the mood to play with all the new dremel bits and new flex shaft I just picked up.

Thanks in advance for any input.
Joe

Yeah....

....it WOULD be a lot of work. I picked up the Ford Focus from the Import Tuner collection (since when is Ford an Import??) because I liked the rear wing and the wheels. I liked the metalic gold color of the car, and thought it would be cool to put on the Zip, but, man, that's dremmeling a lot of metal!!!! Dont know if I will ever finish it...got a lot to do so it would be light enough... Anyway, if you got the resources and time, show us your final projects!!!!!
