body off-center
maybe its just me, but my MS looks like it has its body offcenter.
Both of my MS are like this, is this supposed to be like this, is it a common problem, or am i just unlucky?

Odd. Mine is off by like a 1mm but my front tab is about 1mm shorter than the slot.
Maybe your axle is misleading you. Push the axle all the way in from the left side.

i think the people who make the bodies should get a better mold. The body i have (lancer) seems to have a crude gash on the trunk of the car , anyone else have this problem?

My Bit Char-G Trueno is fine! I wonder if it is just Hobbic or sompin'?! Because it wouldn't be an import from Tomy. The Hobbico shop would reproduce them, but they wouldn't be perfectly identical ya know!

Yup -- my blue Subaru Impreza has both the crude gash on the trunk AND a body that is off-center to the right.

Hobbico doesnt remake the bodies, they are the same bodies from Tomy.
Read the FAQ, Tomy makes the MS's. Hobbico is only a distributor, hobbico doesn't repackage them most likely, Tomy does it for a fee.
I have 2 Skylines, 1 is the claer booster and the other is a MS white. they are both close to center, one is off to the left and 1 to the right.
thinking more clearly, the axle is pressed into the wheels, who says those are exact everytime? also maybe it is the tab on the chassis along with the slot in the body. being in manufacturing chances are these molds are old or just off and YES it does happen.

I think your all just seeing things.
Heres a fact:
The side of the axle that has the gear pressed onto it with the wheel always sticks out slightly more than the other side of the axle with out the gear. As binaryterror noted above the wheels are pressed onto the axle, and are not exact every time. I noticed this on Tomy Bits/Microsizers, and many oems(clones), the Z cars, Smartland IR(not a clone), and the Micro thunder racing cars(z car type clone).
Take a close look at the pictures posted previuosly. You will notice its the wheel with the gear that sticks out of the body slightly, while on the other side the wheel doesn't stick out. Also turn the car over and notice the space between the body and both sides of the chassis. They are both the same which supports my theory that its the axle not the body that is off center.
